How to install and use Mustang on Microsoft Outlook.
This document outlines the installation and usage of the acta mustang outlook plugin. If you cannot find the information you need from this document, please email our customer support team at pavani@actasolutions.io.
a. Desktop
3. From the Office Add-Ins popup select “My Add-ins”
4. After selecting the “My Add-ins” view from the popup scroll down until you can see the “Custom Add-ins” section. Your screen should look similar to the one captured below.
5. Click the “Add a custom add-in” button
6. From the dropdown select the option “Add from Url”
7. After selecting “Add from Url” you should see a pop-up that looks like the following
8. In the text field under “Enter the URL of the add-in’s manifest file” enter the following url: https://www.acta-mustang.com/plugin-manifest/outlook-manifest.xml and press “Ok”
9. Upon successful installation you should see the acta plug-in appear in two situations.
a. When you have an email open, the acta add-in should be visible at the top of your window (see screenshot below)
b. When you have a email that you are currently writing the acta add-in should be visible at the top of your window (see screenshot below)

3. Click the three dots to the left of the reply button to open a dropdown
4. From the dropdown menu select “Get Add-ins”
5. This will open a pop-up titled “Add-Ins for Outlook”. From this screen click “My add-ins”
6. From the “My Add-ins” view, scroll down to the section labeled “Custom Add-ins”. This should look similar to the screenshot below
7. Click the “Add a custom add-in” button
8. From the dropdown select “Add from URL…”
9. In the text field under “Enter the URL of the add-in’s manifest file” enter the following url: https://www.acta-mustang.com/plugin-manifest/outlook-manifest.xml and press “Ok”
10. After the installation has completed you should see the acta plugin listed under you “Custom Add-ins” similar to the screenshot below
11. Upon successful installation you should see the acta plug-in appear in two situations.
a. When you have a message open the acta add-in should be visible from the three dot “More Actions” dropdown (see screenshot below)
b. When you have a message that you are currently writing the acta add-in should be visible from the three dot “More Actions” dropdown on the bottom right (see screenshot below)
a. If you cannot see an option for “Get add ins” in the toolbar (see picture below), go to “Settings” → “View all Outlook Settings” → “Customize Actions” and then check the “Get Add ins” checkbox on both the “Message Surface” and “Toolbar”.

a. When you have a message open that you are currently reading the acta add-in should be visible at the top of your window (see screenshot below).
i. When accessing the plug-in with a message open, you can pin the plug-in to remain open by using the pin icon at the top right. This will keep the acta mustang plugin open as you navigate between screens.
b. When you have a message that you are currently writing the acta add-in should be visible at the top of your window (see screenshot below)
2. When you first access the plugin, you will come to a welcome screen. Press continue from here to get to the login screen.
4. Once you have logged in to the plug-in, you should see a list of tags that your department has created for use in response to frequently received inquiries, and an option to suggest new tags.
5. When you click a tag from those available, it will populate your email reply with the associated response text.
b. Browser
a. When you are reading a message, open the acta plugin from the “more actions” dropdown at the top right of the email
i. When accessing the plug-in with a message open, you can pin the plug-in to remain open by using the pin icon at the top right. This will keep the acta mustang plugin open as you navigate between screens.
b. When you are composing an email, open the acta plugin from the “more actions” dropdown at the bottom of the section for writing an email.
2. When you first access the plugin, you will come to a welcome screen. Press continue from here to get to the login screen.
4. Once you have logged in to the plug-in, you should see a list of tags that your department has created for use in response to frequently received inquiries, and an option to suggest new tags.

2. Enter your email on the following screen and click the “Request new password” button
3. After your password reset request has been submitted, you should receive an email with a verification code from no-reply@actasolutions.io -- it will look similar to the following
4. To complete the creation of a new password, click the “use verification code” button from the login screen and enter your verification code along with the new password you would like to use.

2. From the User Settings View select “Change Password” and provide your current password along with the new password you would like to use.
